Security Awareness Training
Security Training is Your First Defense
- Has everyone in your company been trained to question the presence of strangers — especially in critical areas?
- Are your servers in a locked area?
- Do your employees know not to take USB devices home, use them on unprotected devices, and then bring them back to work?
- Is it possible someone could innocently give out hacker-useful information over the phone?
- Does everyone in your company know that by sending unprotected email over the Internet the contents can be intercepted?
A trained and prepared staff is the best way to prevent a security breach. Bringing in a security defense expert to train your organization gives importance to the discussion and increased buy-in from all attending.
Our expert trainer is Jayson E. Street, notable for his hands-on knowledge of securing the IT infrastructure and alerting organizations on the human factors affecting security.
Jayson created and taught a three-day training course on Intrusion Detection Systems for an undisclosed government agency in Washington D.C. He consulted with the FBI on attempted network breaches that let to the capture and successful prosecution of the criminals involved. In 2007, he consulted with the Secret Service on the Wi-Fi security posture at the White House. At the request of the FBI, he spoke at an INFRAGUARD wireless conference presenting the current status of the hacking underground and issues connecting wireless security. He has spoken at conferences around the world, including DEFCON 17 and 18, as well as the Information Warfare Summit hosted by ISSA. Jayson was interviewed by “Forbes” and “Scientific American” regarding his research on the issue of cyber-warfare as it relates to China and their preparedness for online war.
In addition to his high profile speaking engagements, he thrives on helping businesses prepare for and stop attacks on their Information Systems security. Tim Smith, our CEO, has known and worked with Jayson for many years, having mentored Jayson when he began his career. We respect the knowledge that Jayson brings and recommend his training to our customers. Sessions can be one presentation or a class lasting a day, or multiple days — always geared to your primary concerns. We’d like to discuss how training can protect your company from the tricks of hackers and social engineering.
